Another world premiere by Veneto composer Mario Pagotto. The piece is inspired by the elements of nature to which each of the Concerto's four movements is dedicated: Fire, Air, Water and Earth. Soloists the Opter Ensemble, a very special chamber ensemble (piano, violin and horn) to which Brahms dedicated one of his most unique chamber works. Holst and Britten the composers whose second half will see the performance of two of their seminal works for string orchestra only, with a little early treat by Gioacchino Rossini.
