Also this year we try to make the “SAN VITO MUSICA” Season 2019/20 at least special if not unique. A choice of “lightening” has led us to alternate concerts with our orchestra Arrigoni with others chamber musicians concerts.
Songs such as Beethoven’s Kreutzer Sonata which the Duo Bortolotto-Andri will propose to us, rather than C. Franck’s Sonata for violin and piano in the program for Duo Bogdanovich-Vianello, the masterpieces for Trio with piano by Tchaykovsky and Ravel by Sitkovetsky Trio. They are pieces that alone are worth an evening at the theater.
Accademia Arrigoni orchestra will perform with a great soloist Alessandro Taverna, in the inaugural concert of the season. One of the most important pianists of his generation, Alessandro has performed in some of the most famous theaters in the world under prestigious conductors such as Lorin Maazel, Riccardo Chailly, Fabio Luisi and Daniel Harding, among others.
The appointment with the prizewinner of ” IL PICCOLO VIOLINO MAGICO” is renewed, as for some years now. On 1st February the prizewinner of the 2019 Edition of the International Violin Competition, the Australian Edward Walton, will perform Handel, Bach and Sarasate. Maestro Filippo Maria Bressan will be the conductor, one of the best Italian conductors mostly in relation to the baroque-classical repertoire.
Not only conductor but also composer Valter Sivilotti, who in this concert will offer us a premiere of his suite for accordion (soloist Sebastiano Zorza) and strings. A tribute to Friuli, also a land of talents and composers and a liaison with the land of Argentina, where many of our countrymen emigrated and often found luck: one of them is the cellist and composer Josè Bragato, born in Udine who had a brilliant South American career becoming, among other things, cellist and reference figure of Astor Piazzolla (another Italian-Argentine).
