Duo Bortolotto-Andri Sonata a Kreutzer

2019/2020

Perhaps the best known and celebrated Sonata for violin and piano (also from literature, think of the famous novel by Tolstoy), this represents Beethoven’s Sonata a Kreutzer, a concerting and very singular composition that was received by the contemporaries with much skepticism. Even Janacek’s Sonata is full of sudden and lacerating mood swings, of a whimsical ease modeled on the typical ways of popular music. Duo Bortolotto-Andri, a young Duo but with great harmony, the result of many years of joint work.
